Falling within the scope of the social objective outlined in the constitutional statutes, ITELAZPI's service provision centres mainly on transport and television and radio signal broadcasting, with particular focus on those programmes emitted by the Basque public broadcasting service EiTB.
Another important task is that which relates to the management of communications infrastructures, which affects not only the organisation and optimization of site locations, but also involves an intervention mechanism to sustain the natural environment, inevitably affected by such infrastructures.
Finally, another area of activity involving external parties are those set up via projects commissioned by the Basque Government, which are the extension of broadband infrastructures to rural areas and the implantation and exploitation of a TETRA network to the service the Basque public offices.
