The current trunk network is based on Alcatel SDH radio-links, operating on frequency bands of 6,8, 13 and 18 GHz, and 2 DWDM interprovincial links on Optical Fibre joining the 3 Basque capitals, Bilbo, Gasteiz and Donosti.

This transport capacity is manager as per Alcatel Multiservice Nodes, providing functions of automatic redundancy, service quality and necessary information thereof.

At the same time within these nodes and functioning autonomously but using SDH network resources, an ethernet data network has been incorporated based on Alcatel ISA-ETHERNET cards, giving ITELAZPI Trunk Network excellent potential and capacity for service technological adaptation.

In addition to this and thinking about MPEG Video signal transport, our network transports ASI code audio and video signals optimising occupied bandwidth on the network.
