Awards
Despite their short existence, ITELAZPI has won several awards and acknowledgements, particularly in relation to the project of extending broadband to rural areas.
- Telecommunications Award 2006, from the Basque Telecommunications Engineers’ Association for the best public or private initiative for the broadband extension to rural areas project "Konekta Zaitez@Banda Zabala".
- Award for "digital inclusion" for the project "Konekta Zaitez@Banda Zabala", awarded in Philadelphia in December 2006 by the North American institute W2i.
- Selected by the European Commission for "Bridging the Broadband Gap" held in Brussels on 14th and 15th May 2007.
