To the Environment
ITELAZPI, activity by its very nature has an important impact on the environment, insofar as the infrastructures supporting the services are located in sensitive locations from a landscape viewpoint.
The ITELAZPI undertaking with the environment has been present since the company was created. Materialisation of the same has been channelled via implementation of Ekoscan environment management system, especially conceived for small organisations and as a first step towards more advanced management, informed by systems like ISO 14001 and EMAS.
In previous years we have made a special effort to mimic communications centres, vegetable waste reduction, correct treatment of oil and gasoil, energy efficiency and noise, having attained important results.
- ITELAZPI holds the EKOSCAN certificate since September 2005. This certificate was renewed in 2006 and 2007, exceeding corresponding audits and currently hold Ekoscan Plus Certificate.
- The location Mendira seeks to foster a greater relationship of citizens with its environment.
- In 2009 ITELAZPI will assign over €700,000 to the implementation of environment improvement measures.
