ITELAZPI, given its size, has opted for the Third Party Prevention Service prevention model having examined industrial risk prevention regulations in relation to the organisation of necessary resources for execution of preventive activities, likewise the modalities foreseen for same.
The degree of maturity in Health and Safety management at work reached in recent years has enabled us to recently obtain the certification OHSAS 18001:2007:
This certification confirms ITELAZPI good practices and acknowledges the maturity and efficacy of their Health and Safety Management System at work, while ratifying their undertaking with on-going improvement. Likewise this also acknowledges the effort and dedication of the entire ITELAZPI team to provide efficient answers to their customers’ needs, reaffirming their clear orientation towards entrepreneurial excellence.
Among the actions taken in prevention, the following are worth mentioning: risk assessment of over 180 centres, installation of lifelines in communication towers, installed several kilometres of crash barriers on access paths to repeater centres, likewise hundreds of signalling beacons, annually running training courses on health and safety (e.g.: driving jeeps, first aid), etc.
This task involves assigning a large part of ITELAZPI budget to Industrial Risk Prevention, highlighting the following actions:
- Adoption of corrective measures in repeater centres
- Industrial Risk Prevention Policy
- Homologation in industrial health and safety
- Installation of crash barriers
- Installation of beacons on paths
- PPEs
- Training
- Lifeline maintenance
- Stippling of towers
